This month, local breweries are banding together and making it weird. In Edmonton, to get you to visit your local breweries during the cold, dark month of January, there are eighteen weird beers, or ‘wyrd biers’ being served up all around town.

• Omen Brewing - Mixed fermentation barrel aged Belgian Dark Strong Ale

• Odd Company Brewing - Yuzu Dashi Sour

• Longroof Brewing Co. - Tropical Stout with Squid Ink

• Leduc Brewing Co. - Carribbean Jerk Stout

• Irrational Brewing Company - Breakfast Stout with Pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, coffee, maple syrup, vanilla and lactose

• The Growlery - Sweet Potato Pie

• Endeavor Brewing - Oh. Those Cakes of Green

• Dog Island - Cucumber, Habernaro lime ale

• Bent Stick Brewing - Wings of Fortune

• Arcadia Brewing Co. - Vibe Check Sour IPA

This wyrd bier menu is available January 9 to February 10, at local breweries. To make this even more of an adventure, you’ll be given a passport you can get stamped with your weird beers, and the first 250 people to get at least 8 stamps will receive a small prize.
